Mocking Bird helps you create AI-assisted captions, replies, memes, and character content. This policy explains what data the app uses, where it goes, and what stays on your device.

Information the App Uses

The app can use photos, screenshots, prompts, captions, shared post text, copied text, humor style choices, character details, saved memes, preferences, and local app state when you choose to use those features.

AI Processing

Text, prompts, and images you choose to process may be sent to third-party AI providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google Gemini if enabled by the app feature being used. Those providers process data under their own privacy policies and retention rules.

Storage

Most app data is stored locally on your device. Saved memes, generated characters, preferences, and cached app content may be stored in local app storage, UserDefaults, app-group storage, or local files.

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell personal data, use your data for third-party advertising, or use Apple advertising identifiers for tracking.

Permissions

Photo and camera access are used to select, capture, process, save, or share images. Clipboard text may be used when you ask the app or share extension to generate a reply from copied text.

Your Choices

You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings, avoid AI features if you do not want content sent to AI providers, delete saved content where supported, or uninstall the app to remove local app data managed by iOS.
